Gina Heumann
Founder & CEO
Gina is a trauma mama to two boys, adopted from Guatemala; one of which had the diagnosis of reactive attachment disorder. The family struggled for many years before learning about trauma and finding peace. She holds a Masters in Architecture and a Masters in Adult Education and Online Learning Development. She is the author of Love Never Quits: Surviving & Thriving after Infertility, Adoption, and Reactive Attachment Disorder (gold recipient of the prestigious Parent's Choice Award); and she presented a TEDx on how "Childhood Trauma Affects us All".
Craig Knippenberg
Advisory Board Chairman
Mr. Knippenberg received a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Denver (1982) and a Master of Divinity (with a focus in pastoral counseling) from the Iliff School of Theology (1986). A licensed social worker, Craig’s expertise is with children, adolescents and parents. He developed and has conducted the CONNECT group program for the past thirty-four years. Craig has also developed a brain based curriculum for teaching students about their social brain development.
